Juli 1836 in Eltville geboren, gestorben ist er am 18. Februar 1899 in Wiesbaden. Schies heiratete Anna Bouteiller. Er hatte als Bildhauer ein Atelier und eine Wohnung in der Dotzheimer Stra\u00dfe 13 in Wiesbaden. Es kann nur einen groben \u00dcberblick geben und erhebt keinen Anspruch auf Vollst\u00e4ndigkeit. Einzig die Denkm\u00e4ler in Kirchheimbolanden (Friedhof). Sch\u00f6ppenstedt und Weener (Ostfriesland) sind heute noch erhalten. Die \u00fcbrigen Denkm\u00e4ler wurden im 2. Weltkrieg gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils zur Eisengewinnung eingeschmolzen.<\/p>\n<h3>Bildhauerarbeiten au\u00dferhalb Wiesbadens:<\/h3>\n<p>In der Zeit von 1872 bis 1882 wurden mehr als 20 Kriegerdenkm\u00e4ler (\u201eGermania\u201c-Figuren in drei verschiedenen Ausf\u00fchrungstypen) innerhalb des damaligen Deutschen Reiches aufgestellt. Warthe (heute: Gorz\u00f3w Wielkopolski, Polen), Guben, Eisenach, Ruhrort, Hagen (Westf.), Finsterwalde, Gl\u00fcckstadt, Castrop, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kudaba.de\/?p=39609\">Sch\u00f6ppenstedt<\/a>, Cochem, Sprottau (heute: Szprotawa, Polen), Birnbaum a.d.
